AA Soccer Academy Director of Soccer Juan Carlos Loyola AOM;
“It all started on 3rd March 1993 as a coach. I came from a great disappointment with another organisation and together with my enthusiasm and passion I decided to form a football group for people with special needs. The then Principal of Emerson Special school liked my ideas and he gave me permission to practice once a week. However on this occasion, together with the parents’ association of the school decided that together with my players we had to look for a new home.
I approached Doveton Soccer Club and found from the entire committee members the necessary support that lasted 24 years. I have to thank all the people of Doveton SC infinitely, then what follows is the story of an organisation dedicated to providing sports service to everyone in the community who needs it.
Hundreds of people passed through our club in the 29 years, who all, in one way or another enjoyed the sports and social part. Many of our athletes represented the state of Victoria in many competitions and also many proudly represented Australia in International competitions. New projects are now underway for special community groups and special schools.
I must thank many people who were in the past for all that has been achieved by our organisation and all those who continue to help as volunteers in the present and I personally thank them with all my heart.
A very happy 29th anniversary all connected and thank you for giving me as a coach and person the privilege of being able to help many people. CONGRATULATIONS!”
