All Abilities Soccer Day 20th of February 2021

Doveton Special Soccer School hosted the first soccer event after the COVID-19 lockdown.

The event attracted 110 players with special needs from different suburbs across Melbourne.

The round-robin matches were keenly contested every player and coach received a medal, even more reason to smile.

Doveton Special Soccer School director of soccer Juan Carlos Loyola OAM opened the event with a special speech “ I welcome  you all and remind  that you’re not just here to win, you’re  here to meet new friends and enjoy a wonderful day of soccer”

The day went very well thanks to all the hard work from volunteers made to make the day a  success and everyone was a winner.

One player spoke for the rest “I’m here to have fun really” and he did.

Our special gratitude to the Hon Luke Donnellan, Minister for Child Protection, Minister for Disability, Ageing, and Carer for presenting the medals to all the participants.
